AEW has several stars who are currently injured and waiting for approval from the medical team to return. Adam Copeland is one of those stars, dealing with a leg injury, but he is working hard to make his return happen as soon as possible.
After fracturing his tibia during his barbed wire steel cage match against Malakai Black at Double or Nothing, Adam Copeland provided some insight into the surgery he underwent and his recovery process. During a recent Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Adam Copeland’s injury status.
It was reported that Adam Copeland’s injury recovery progress is going, “Good from what I understand.” However, it was not disclosed how much longer the former Edge will be out before he is able to come back. The Rated R Superstar made a significant impact when he joined AEW, and it was initially difficult to believe that Edge had left WWE. His reason for leaving became clear when he was quickly involved in a long storyline with Christian Cage. Fans are eager to see what happens upon his return, as there may be unfinished business.
WWE had offered Adam Copeland a contract to stay, but he turned it down. Instead of being featured as a special attraction, he wanted to be an integral part of the roster, working with younger talent to help them improve and shape the future of the business. AEW was able to provide Copeland with that opportunity, and he seized it.
Adam Copeland has a history of recovering from injuries. His current run in the ring was once thought impossible, as he was retired for nearly a decade due to injury. Now, he is back and waiting for medical clearance to make his return to the ring once more.
