Sonya Deville returned to WWE a few months ago after missing an extended time period due to her knee injury. On her very first night back, she approached Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler to join forces, only for them to decline her offer.

As weeks went by, Sonya constantly pursued them, with the trio finally coming together as a cohesive unit. Moreover, the association with Deville proved to be a turning point for both Stark and Baszler, getting meaningful TV time and opportunities.

On the August 12 edition of Monday Night RAW, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark were scheduled to battle in a tag team match against Damage CTRL’s IYO Sky and Kairi Sane with an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Women’s tag team titles.

As they made their way to the ring, Sonya Deville revealed their trio to be now known as “The Pure Fusion Collective” with the name being made official, flashing on the screens as they made their way to the ring.

Moreover, after a controversial ending to the match, Deville’s cohorts, Stark and Baszler will compete in a triple threat tag team match also involving IYO Sky and Kairi Sane and the reigning tag champions, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn for their titles next week on RAW.
