Janel Grant has made serious allegations against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, including claims of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking dating back to March 2019. Recently, Grant sought records from Dr. Carlon Colker, a wellness doctor involved in her case. A judge has rejected McMahon’s attempt to block this request. Dr. Colker has denied any misconduct in his treatment of Grant. In response, Grant has now filed a motion to strike Dr. Colker’s bill of discovery, which seeks to challenge the legitimacy of his claims or documents related to the case.

Janel Grant previously filed pre-action discovery petition seeking records from Dr. Carlon Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness, Inc. Grant alleges that under Vince McMahon’s direction in November 2019, she received undisclosed treatments, including pills and IV infusions, at the clinic. When she asked about the substances, Dr. Colker reportedly questioned her trust in him.

Last week, Dr. Carlon Colker filed a complaint against Janel Grant, rejecting her allegations of improper treatment at his Peak Wellness Clinic. He called the allegations a “smear campaign” and claimed they have caused significant harm to his reputation, estimating the damage in “tens of millions of dollars.”

Dr. Colker is requesting documentation that he believes was issued to Grant, which he argues would counter her claims. He is also seeking to depose Grant as part of the process.

According to POST Wrestling, on Monday, Janel Grant filed a motion in the Connecticut Superior Court to strike Dr. Carlon Colker’s verified complaint and dismiss his bill of discovery entirely. She is also seeking statutory sanctions, costs, and attorneys’ fees against Colker and Peak Wellness.

Grant’s legal team described Colker’s actions as a “desperate and brazen attempt to silence a former patient” investigating her medical care. They argue that Colker’s complaint does not provide valid grounds for relief and infringes on her First Amendment rights to report on public health issues.

Grant is requesting treble damages, claiming that Colker and Peak Wellness brought the bill of discovery with malicious intent and without probable cause, aiming to harass and trouble her unjustly.

Grant is represented by Ann Callis from Holland Law Firm and David Slossberg & Erica Nolan from Hurwitz, Sagarin, Slossberg & Knuff, LLC. The motion was delivered to Colker and Peak Wellness’ legal representatives, Frank Silvestri and Robert Laplaca of Verrill Dana LLC.

Judge Jeffrey Meyer recently ruled against McMahon’s attempt to block the petition for these records and Vince McMahon’s attorney has already released statement regarding the denial. Regardless, it remains to be seen how the lawsuit will progress as there are many elements to it.
