Drew McIntyre assumed that he left CM Punk in his rear view after picking up a huge victory over him at WWE SummerSlam 2024 two weeks. However, McIntyre was wrong and paid a hefty price, courtesy of The Best in the World.

On the August 12 edition of RAW, McIntyre was informed by RAW General Manager Adam Pearce that CM Punk faced travel issues. However, he was not bothered by Punk and instead wanted to set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship, while not being happy about SmackDown’s Randy Orton getting a title shot against the reigning champion, Gunther.

Later that night, Gunther and Orton had an intense verbal back and forth, with The Ring General making highly personal remarks about Orton and his family. As Orton looked to strike, McIntyre made his way down to the ring.

However, CM Punk emerged out of nowhere to attack Drew McIntyre. Punk took The Scottish Warrior’s own leather belt and whipped it multiple times on his back as he retreated to escape his foe. McIntyre later took to his X to drop a photo of his bruised back covered in scars, from the whipping he suffered at the hands of CM Punk.
