Will Ospreay is one of the biggest names in AEW and remains a highlight of AEW television, but he ended up losing his International Championship to MJF and shockingly enough, he made his return to RevPro during the Summer Sizzle event.
The Salt of the Earth previously confirmed that he would be defending the AEW American Championship against Michael Oku on August 11th at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London in RevPro’s Summer Sizzle event.
That’s exactly what happened as MJF came out and defined his title against a very determined Michael Oku. Both competitors gave it their all to win the match but it was MJF who ultimately triumphed.
Following his win, MJF tried to hit the Tiger Driver on Amira when suddenly, Will Ospreay made his shocking return RevPro and drove the Salt of the Earth away from the ring and saved Amira.
Afterwards, Will Ospreay stated that he needed the crowd to remind him of his abilities and wanted that reminder at AEW All In. He stated that he is prepared to do whatever it takes to defeat MJF for the AEW American Title at the event.
We will have to wait and see whether Will Ospreay will be able to triumph over MJF at AEW All In and reclaim the title that he lost, as fans feel Ospreay will genuinely be able to beat the Salt of the Earth this time around, especially after Ospreay ran MJF off today.
