During Roman Reigns’ absence, Solo Sikoa assumed leadership of The Bloodline, with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu aligning themselves with the faction. It culminated at SummerSlam as Roman Reigns made his shocking return and a lot more ensued on SmackDown this week. Following SmackDown, Sikoa ended up calling Roman Reigns a liar.
Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam and unsurprisingly, he set his sights on Solo Sikoa at the show. Rather than going against Cody Rhodes, Reigns ended up hitting a Superman punch as well as a vicious spear on Solo Sikoa before leaving to the back, thus helping Rhodes retain his championship.
During the August 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns came back and took out Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa before landing a Superman Punch on Solo Sikoa, who had claimed the title of the new Tribal Chief. Just as Reigns prepared to deliver a Spear, The Tongans pulled Sikoa out of the ring. Reigns managed to retrieve his Ula Fala, but was soon ambushed by Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, allowing Solo Sikoa to escape with the Samoan Lei.
The episode concluded with The Original Tribal Chief standing tall over Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa while glaring at Solo Sikoa from across the ramp. After the show, The Enforcer shared a throwback picture on his Instagram story, recalling the moment when Reigns had anointed him as the next Tribal Chief as he claimed that Roman Reigns lied to him.
”You lied to me.”
We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book Roman Reigns and the new Bloodline’s feud in the coming weeks, as it’s quite clear that things have only just begun.
