Penta El Zero Miedo, celebrated for his role in the acclaimed Lucha Brothers tag team with Rey Fenix, has been a significant presence in AEW since its inception in 2019. With their contracts nearing expiration and rumors swirling about a potential move to WWE, it seems Penta has bid farewell to his Mexican fans.
As previously reported, Penta El Zero Miedo’s AEW contract is due to expire between August and September 2024, making him a potential free agent. He is reportedly open to new opportunities outside AEW, with WWE expressing interest in bringing him on board. The same applies to Rey Fenix, as both wrestlers’ contracts are set to end this year.
Within AEW, there is strong speculation that Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix might be heading to WWE after their contracts expire. WWE is also contemplating their arrival, with discussions suggesting they could be placed directly on the main roster instead of starting in NXT.
Amid all the rumors of their WWE debut, Penta El Zero Miedo took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself after a match in Mexico. In his promo, Penta bid goodbye to his fans in Mexico. He also thanked the fans in attendance and Ultimo Dragon as well.

Rey Fenix has also pulled out of an indie event in September and we have also reported the likely reason why the Lucha Brothers will leave AEW. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see if they actually leave AEW and join WWE, as all indications currently suggest that this is likely to happen.
