Jey Uso has achieved great success as “Main Event” Jey Uso since his time with the Bloodline ended. Although he’s currently on the RAW brand, enjoying his status as a major Superstar, he has yet to win a title on his own. However, he remains aware of what’s happening with his former faction on the SmackDown brand.
The OTC Roma Reigns made his long-awaited return to close out WWE SummerSlam last Saturday, helping Cody Rhodes secure victory against Solo Sikoa in the Bloodline Rules main event. With Roman back on WWE television, the first shot in the upcoming Bloodline Civil War has been fired, with Roman’s cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso likely set to rejoin his side. Jey Uso has shared his thoughts on Roman Reigns and the Bloodline faction following Roman’s return at SummerSlam.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Jey Uso praised Roman Reigns following his return at SummerSlam, acknowledging Roman’s exceptional talent. At this stage in his career, Reigns also makes it look so easy being so dominate.
“There is no one better. He makes it look so easy. I look up to him. He’s got this art form down.”
Jey also commented on his brothers Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso ahead of his reintroduction to the Bloodline storyline, expressing his belief that fans will love Jimmy. He mentioned that his younger brother needs some tough love. Jey previously confirmed that his twin brother is on the way back.
“Solo needs his ass whupped, there’s no doubt about that.
“And people are going to love Jimmy. He’s the funniest guy I know, so much funnier than me. You’ve seen glimpses of what he can do on his own. Wait until you see his greatness. He’s up next.”
We’ll have to see what happens with Jey Uso and the Bloodline. Roman Reigns had little trouble dealing with Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa on SmackDown, but Jacob Fatu’s injury may have given him an advantage. Only time will tell if Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman join Roman Reigns soon enough for this chapter in the Bloodline saga.
Jey Uso knows Roman Reigns well, having been the Tribal Chief’s right-hand man from the start of the Bloodline stable. At the time, Jimmy Uso was out of action with a knee injury, so he wasn’t involved until about a year into the stable’s formation. Now, the Bloodline stable has been running for five years, with no signs of slowing down.
