WWE fans were excited to see CM Punk cleared to wrestle again, despite his regular appearances on television during his triceps injury hiatus. Punk may have needed to wait extra time for that clearance, but he maintained his feud with Drew McIntyre throughout this period, and now that Punk is cleared, he’ll be appearing more frequently on a consistent basis.

CM Punk is ready for action, despite his recent loss to Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam. Fans can expect Punk to make several appearances for the RAW brand in the coming weeks, signaling that his comeback is in full swing.

Punk returned to the ring against Drew McIntyre, with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee at WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland Browns Stadium. During the match, Punk lost his temper and hit Rollins with a GTS. Moments later, McIntyre capitalized on the situation and delivered a Claymore kick to Punk for the win.

Punk continued his feud with McIntyre in a promo segment interrupted by Rollins on the August 5 episode of RAW. The segment ended with McIntyre holding up Punk’s bracelet, mentioning Punk’s dog Larry and wife AJ, which further angered Punk. McIntyre backed off before Punk could reach him, but their story is far from over.

WWE has advertised Punk for several Raw events throughout August, including dates in Austin, TX, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Providence, RI. However, he is not currently advertised for Bash in Berlin on August 31 or the October 5th Bad Blood event. We’ll have to see if he gets booked for those premium live events, but there is still time for that to happen.

Additionally, Punk is set to make a special appearance in Chicago for the first episode of NXT on The CW on October 1. This announcement was made official as part of the press release that NXT is going on the road for its first two weeks on the CW. Only time will tell if the black and gold brand will continue its touring efforts after that, but Punk will certainly help them kick things off in a big way in the Windy City.
