Bobby Lashley had a stellar run with WWE during his second stint, as he became a two-time WWE Champion and took part in various memorable storylines. With his WWE contract expiry imminent, it appears Lashley will be near the venue for the August 10th AEW Collision.
Lashley suffered an injury during training earlier this year and he was pulled from the King of the Ring tournament. He has not been seen on WWE television since he and fans started wondering about his status with the company. It was then reported that Bobby Lashley’s contract was going to expire this month.
We had then reported that Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract would be up this weekend and that Lashley had been discussed backstage at AEW, but no formal offer was made at that time.
Fightful Select reports that Bobby Lashley will be hosting a belated birthday party in Texas on Saturday night, close to the location of AEW Collision, which is held in the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas. Many wrestlers are expected to attend the event.
We have also reported that Bobby Lashley also has options outside professional wrestling. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether The Almighty will make his way to AEW, as anything is possible now.
