WWE has big plans for the future, and their move to Netflix will change a lot about how the red brand operates every Monday night. While a lot of possibilities remain for RAW as they make their 2025 jump to the popular streaming service, including Braun Strowman’s happiness about swearing on Netflix, there are still many more questions about how everything will play out.

WWE Raw is set to debut on Netflix in January 2025, marking a pivotal transition from traditional cable to a streaming platform. This move signifies a groundbreaking change in WWE’s broadcast strategy, as Raw shifts from linear television to a new digital frontier.

During the TKO quarterly financials call, TKO President Mark Shapiro provided insights into this strategic shift. Shapiro highlighted the transformative potential of the partnership, stating that there are many things that could come from this situation.

“Don’t underestimate the Netflix play. In the sense that, the Netflix deal for WWE is all about discovery. New audiences, new viewership, casual viewers. You’re going to go to that front page and WWE is going to be right there being promoted and marketed. That’s a whole new audience for us. The folks who are already fans of WWE, they will follow. It will be an appointment. Netflix will serve to be a real discovery platform with us. Specifically, that will help us when it comes to site fees and sponsorship.”

The move to Netflix positions WWE to reach a vast global audience, tapping into the streaming service’s extensive user base. By appearing on Netflix’s front page, WWE Raw gains increased visibility, attracting both new and existing fans. This strategic move aligns with WWE’s broader efforts to enhance its reach and influence in the world of sports entertainment. It will also see RAW in an uncensored format, leaving many fans to wonder how far they will take things.
