WWE has a lot of titles floating around, and they are about to add one more for the women’s side of the roster. The company has taken part in many ventures on social media, with WWE Speed being their latest. Now, the women are about to get their own representation on that show.
Triple H has announced the launch of a new Championship coming next month. WWE has made a new deal with Twitter/X for WWE Speed, featuring three-minute matches exclusively on the social media platform. So far, the show has only featured male WWE stars in tournament matches, with the winner earning a shot at the WWE Speed Championship.
Things are about to change for WWE Speed, because the women are getting their own title. The tournament to crown the first WWE Speed Women’s Champion will start on September 4.
“Time to turn #WWESpeed up another notch… excited to announce that the WWE Speed Women’s Championship Tournament will premiere Sept. 4 at 12pm ET / 9am PT, exclusively on @X.”
This is an exciting time for WWE, with SummerSlam in the rearview mirror. Now, with the SmackDown after the biggest party of the summer upon us, fans have even more to look forward to in September.
Andrade is the current WWE Speed Champion, and they have plans for him, after defeating the inaugural champion Ricochet for the title before The One And Only’s departure from the company. We will have to see who wins the female title on the X exclusive show.
We could expect an extra boost in promotion for WWE Speed as they make their way through the tournament. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more on this story and so many more around the busy pro wrestling world.
