The Tonga Twins, Taahine and TalaVou, made waves recently when they announced their departure from Women of Wrestling on social media. Their exit comes amid serious allegations of bullying and misconduct involving other wrestlers within the promotion. Now, several months after leaving WOW, the twins have begun to address the possibility of joining AEW.

In their critique of WOW, the Tonga Twins didn’t hold back, labeling the promotion as “malevolent” and accusing it of intruding on their family life. While they chose not to share specific details, their message was clear.

“We will be speaking out soon. But for now, we will leave it here. To all the women who are scared to speak up, we stand for you! You will no longer see us on WOW because we spoke up! You can’t do this to GOOD PEOPLE WHO SACRIFICE THEIR FAMILY!!! So Evil. Mess with us, you mess with our KIDS and family and that’s PERSONAL. Wait on it …”

The twins ended their statement with a declaration of their free agency status: “Tonga Twins are now free agents!!!!! The marathon continues.”

The drama surrounding their exit escalated when current WOW talent Simone Williams accused the Tonga Twins of bullying and causing harm to other wrestlers within the organization. In response, the twins defended themselves by releasing video evidence to counter these allegations.

Taahine Tonga later took to Twitter for a Q&A session, where a fan asked about the twins’ potential future in WWE or AEW. Taahine responded that they would only consider joining AEW if Mercedes Moné called them.

“If I’m at AEW, it’s only if the Moné calls,” she stated, hinting at a possible alliance or storyline with the former WWE star.

While the Tonga Twins have now shared some insight into their reasons for leaving WOW, the wrestling world will be watching closely to see if they end up in AEW or WWE. As always, anything is possible in the unpredictable world of professional wrestling.
