The August 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown featured some of most much awaited moments and jam-packed in-ring matches that captivated the audience in Tulsa, Oklahoma and set the tone for next week’s show.

On tonight’s show, Naomi came to the aid of Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair as they were attacked by The Unholy Union and Blair Davenport. Next week, Naomi will collide with Davenport in singles action.

Elswehere, Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton was busy planning a celebration for Nia Jax’s Women’s Championship celebration. Next week on SmackDown, the WWE Universe will get to witness the same as Jax arrives to the blue brand as the new WWE Women’s Champion following her win over Bayley at SummerSlam.

In the tag team division, DIY and The Street Profits won their respective No.1 contender tag team qualifying matches for a chance to compete for the WWE tag team titles. Next week both teams will collide against each other to determine the next challengers to the new title holders, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga.

Finally, a brief interaction about Austin Theory hyping Grayson Waller’s prowess backstage to GM Nick Aldis led to him booking Waller in a match against The Prizefighter, Kevin Owens.
