Bianca Belair Clears the Air on Realness of Her Hair Whip Effects

Bianca Belair is certainly one of the top female Superstars in WWE who has seen incredible highs over the years. She uses every weapon at her disposal and that includes even her hair and now she has addressed claims that her hair whip sounds are fake.

Bianca Belair’s signature braid is a central aspect of her WWE character and contributes to her uniqueness. She has utilized the braid as a weapon during matches, resulting in bruises on her opponents. Typically, she employs the hair whip as a form of retaliation when her hair is pulled during a bout or segment.

While speaking in a recent interview with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Belair clarified that WWE does not add sound effects to her hair whip. The noise it produces is authentic.

Belair noted that there is a misconception that the sounds are artificially created, and mentioned a past instance with Becky Lynch, where people thought the marks on Lynch’s stomach were makeup. Belair confirmed that these marks were real, stating that the braid itself is genuinely impactful and has a life of its own.

“It’s real. A lot of people think, even still to this day, they’re like, ‘they’re adding sound effects. She put that in to make that noise.’ Nope, there’s no sound effects. And then there was Becky, she was the one that had all the marks on her stomach, and people swore up and down that it was makeup. ‘Why would they put makeup on it?’ I was like it’s not makeup, it’s real. So, yeah, the braid is a real thing. It has a mind of its own.”

Bianca Belair’s most famous hair whip was likely against Becky Lynch during one of their matches back in 2022. Nonetheless, Belair’s hair means business and fans know not to mess with her.
