Britt Baker Accused of Driving Cody Rhodes Out of AEW

Cody Rhodes, the wrestling sensation who made shockwaves with his return to WWE, was one of the biggest stars in AEW until his departure in 2022. In light of his departure, Britt Baker has now been accused of driving Rhodes out of AEW.

Brandi Rhodes, who joined AEW alongside Cody Rhodes, played a key role in establishing the company’s women’s division in its early days. She also served as the manager of Awesome Kong and participated in several matches. Despite her contributions, Brandi’s appearances on AEW shows stopped and she and Cody Rhodes left AEW in 2022.

While speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan suggested that tensions between Brandi Rhodes and Britt Baker were a factor in Cody Rhodes’ decision to leave AEW. Konnan claimed that Tony Khan consistently supported Baker in these disputes, which contributed to the situation.

“One of the reasons that Cody left amongst many was there was problems between Brandi and Britt….Tony always takes her side….you’ll find out one day.”

Britt Baker also made headlines last week after she was suspended following a backstage confrontation with MJF. Regardless, Cody Rhodes is more than happy being the top name in WWE right now, but he’ll always look back positively on his time in AEW.
