WWE is experiencing substantial growth and transformation, as revealed by NXT’s upcoming transition to the CW Network later this year. It has been confirmed that the show will hit the road for its first two episodes on the new network. In light of their move to the network, WWE’s plans for NXT’s continued presence on the CW Network following these initial broadcasts have been revealed.

NXT has been televised on the USA Network for a long time, but that will end in October this year, as the show will be airing regularly on the CW Network going forward. It was also reported that the show will remain on Tuesdays after moving to the CW Network.

Shawn Michaels confirmed this week that WWE NXT is set to hit the road in celebration of its new home on the CW Network. The inaugural event will be held on October 1st at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Following that, NXT will head to St. Louis for a show on October 8th. CM Punk will be in Chicago and Randy Orton will be there for the St. Louis show.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, sources have indicated that while NXT will be on the road for these two shows, it does not imply that the show will transition to major arena events every week. WWE plans for NXT to primarily air from the Performance Center in Orlando but will host events in larger arenas as deemed appropriate.

The decision to start the show on The CW with these initial larger venues is seen as a strategic move. A source involved noted that no decisions are final after the first two weeks, as there are a lot of factors in play.

“It’s only the first two weeks that will be outside of Orlando. Obviously, based on ticket demand and other factors, no decisions are final.”

WWE has already released the first promotional video for NXT and even changed up the logo in anticipation of the CW Network move.  WWE is also pulling in substantially more money with their CW deal and fans can expect to see a lot of big changes on the show, so it remains to be seen if NXT will see major improvements in October.
