Roxanne Perez has been the NXT Women’s Champion for a couple of months now and she has been more than happy to see her mentor CM Punk back in WWE. In fact, Perez has revealed how beneficial CM Punk has been to NXT.
Since returning to WWE in November 2023, CM Punk has frequently visited NXT and the WWE Performance Center. When he wasn’t recovering from his torn triceps, he was assisting talent and offering advice.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez spoke about Punk’s involvement in NXT during an interview with Stephanie Chase. Perez, who admired Punk growing up and aspired to reach his level, expressed appreciation for his efforts.
Perez noted that Punk goes out of his way to support the NXT roster, attending events like the Las Vegas Battleground to watch matches and provide critiques and advice. She highlighted how Punk’s willingness to help and share his expertise is both impressive and valuable to the talent.
“I grew up watching him, I grew up wanting to be where he was so now being able to be under his learning tree… he’s just so awesome. I feel like he doesn’t have to do everything that he does, he will literally just drop by the NXT pay-per-views. He was there at Las Vegas Battleground just to watch all of our matches So it’s really cool for him to go out of his way to do that and help us out and see if we need any critiques or any advice or anything, he’s always there.”
Earlier this year, Roxanne Perez also called CM Punk a hypocrite. Nonetheless, it is clear that CM Punk’s return to WWE has been beneficial for the company and that’s all that matters.
