Wes Lee suffered an injury last year and it was expected he would be out of action for almost year. That wasn’t what happened as he returned back in May and eventually got to team up with The Rascalz again. However, he turned heel on them on NXT this week and footage has now shown him being visibly furious after the show.

At Week Two of NXT Great American Bash on August 6, the NXT Tag Team Champions, Frazer and Axiom, were scheduled to defend their titles against Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz inside the Capitol Wrestling Centre.

The match delivered an electrifying performance, captivating the audience with its high-energy tag team action. Frazer and Axiom showcased their impressive athleticism and teamwork, while Lee and Wentz aimed to secure their first NXT gold since reuniting.

The contest featured intense back-and-forth action, with the crowd enthusiastically chanting “This is Awesome” as the match progressed. In the final moments, Frazer and Axiom overcame an initial miscommunication to execute a successful double team maneuver on Wes Lee. Axiom then scored the pinfall, allowing Frazer and Axiom to retain their titles.

The night took a dramatic turn when Wes Lee attacked both members of The Rascalz post-match. Furious, he yelled, “You left me alone,” and concluded the event by leaving Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel battered, walking away alone as the former NXT North American Champion.

WWE took to their official Instagram account and uploaded a video of Wes Lee after his shocking heel turn. He was visibly furious as he shoved the camera in front of him while heading backstage.

”We’ve never seen this side of @weslee_wwe… 😳 #NXTGAB

We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Wes Lee in the coming weeks, as fans are definitely intrigued by this new direction for the WWE Superstar, who had been a babyface all this while.
