Drew McIntyre has been on a dominant winning streak for months, with his feud with CM Punk intensifying through heated verbal exchanges and physical confrontations. McIntyre defeated Punk at SummerSlam, but Punk struck back by chasing him off on Raw this week. McIntyre responded by claiming that if messing with Punk were an Olympic sport, he would have won multiple gold medals.

On the August 5 episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk reflected on his recent match, expressing his joy at being back in Baltimore after ten years, despite his loss at SummerSlam. Punk revealed he had been initially told he would be sidelined for nine months due to a triceps injury but made a comeback in just five.

Punk then turned his attention to Drew McIntyre, criticizing him and calling for a rematch. This led to a confrontation with Seth Rollins, who, visibly frustrated, entered the ring for a face-off. However, Drew McIntyre interrupted, making a surprise appearance from the audience to celebrate his SummerSlam victory.

McIntyre praised Punk’s performance but claimed he was the true “Best in the World.” As Punk and Rollins argued, McIntyre provoked Punk by mentioning Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, and a bracelet he still possessed. This caused Punk to pursue McIntyre backstage, while Bronson Reed took the opportunity to attack Seth Rollins in the ring.

Drew McIntyre took to Twitter and claimed that if messing with CM Punk were an Olympic sport, he would be the Simone Biles of it. Despite not having any actual medals, McIntyre boasts a victory over Punk, having defeated him at WWE SummerSlam.

”Me if f****** with CM Punk was an Olympic sport”

McIntyre also holds a significant memento from their feud: Punk’s bracelet, which features the names of Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, and his dog, Larry. To Punk, this bracelet might be worth more than any gold medal. Regardless, we’ll have to see how their feud will progress in the coming weeks as it’s clearly not over.
