Cody Rhodes Advocates for WWE Premium Live Event in Italy

WWE is truly the powerhouse in global professional wrestling and has been making notable efforts to expand into new markets recently. In light of this endeavor, Cody Rhodes has now expressed a desire to see a Premium Live Event held in Italy, revealing his interest in bringing WWE’s big shows to new international locations.

In recent years, WWE has focused on hosting Premium Live Events outside the U.S., with events like Backlash, Elimination Chamber, and Clash at the Castle coming to mind. However, Italy has yet to host a WWE Premium Live Event.

In May, WWE held a live event in Bologna, Italy, and Cody Rhodes expressed a desire to see WWE return to Italy for a larger event while speaking on Gabby AF. He noted that the enthusiasm from Italian fans was impressive, comparing it to the excitement seen in places like Scotland and France.

Rhodes admitted he was unsure about WWE’s TV presence in Italy but believes it would be an excellent location for a premium live event. While he has no decision-making power, he described the experience as very cool.

“I really hope that Italy gets a WWE….we did a show in Italy, a live event. They were, if people saw Scotland, Scotland was outrageous. If people saw France, France was outrageous. I wish people got to see what Italy was like. I didn’t know what we were walking into. I didn’t even know if we were on TV in Italy. They would be a great place for a PLE. I make no decisions and can’t get anything done, but that was a really cool experience.” 

Cody Rhodes also previously advocated for a Premium Live Event in Mexico. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether fans in Italy will get their wish and will finally get to see a Premium Live Event take place there.
