Britt Baker, who made a surprise comeback at AEW Forbidden Door after a year-long break, had faced a suspension due to a backstage altercation with MJF. During her absence, it’s been confirmed that Baker is being considered for a return on television.
The chaos began after Britt Baker made comments about MJF and his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, on the July 17th episode of Dynamite. MJF heard about these comments from Atout, which led to a heated argument. Even Will Ospreay tried to help by talking to Baker.
Things escalated when MJF, upset by the situation, punched wall backstage, showing how tense things were in AEW. Despite this, Britt Baker stayed on TV, but she was briefly suspended after an HR investigation. The investigation also looked into claims that Baker had verbally attacked Atout and demanded her removal from the women’s locker room.
The August 7th, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite will emanate from the LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Fightful Select reports that while Britt Baker is being considered for a return on-screen, there’s no confirmation that she is currently at the venue.
With AEW All In approaching on August 25th, it’s expected that Britt Baker will make her return to AEW Dynamite this week to advance her storyline with Mercedes Mone. Fans will be eager to see how AEW continues to develop their feud as the pay-per-view draws nearer.
