During Roman Reigns’ absence after WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikoa took on the leadership role within The Bloodline. However, Reigns made a dramatic return at SummerSlam, decisively taking down Sikoa. With that said, some believe that his return was premature.

WWE’s 2024 SummerSlam concluded with a Bloodline Rules match for the Undisputed WWE Title. Cody Rhodes emerged victorious over Solo Sikoa, aided by the intervention of the Original Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam, and as expected, he focused on Solo Sikoa rather than Cody Rhodes. Reigns delivered a Superman punch and a brutal spear to Sikoa before heading backstage, which contributed to Rhodes retaining his championship.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Roman Reigns’ shocking return at SummerSlam. Booker T stated that he believes Reigns’ return was premature and it could have taken place a little later, but he still stated felt it was an unexpected surprise.

“I loved it, but I thought it was a little premature, man,” Booker T said. “I thought Roman [Reigns] could’ve used a couple more weeks off…I didn’t expect it. It was totally unexpected for me. I did not see it coming. It was a pleasant surprise though, seeing Roman back in the fold.”

Roman Reigns has been confirmed to make an appearance on the August 9th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, so we will have to wait and see what the Tribal Chief will have to say on the show.
