Odyssey Jones was one of the bright stars in NXT 2.0 who had a lot of charisma and a ton of potential. Therefore, people thought he was meant for great things after his WWE main roster call up, but nothing really happened for well over a year. Thankfully, things changed after RAW this week and X-Pac has now made a huge claim about Jones’ power.
In the ongoing storyline involving Karrion Kross and his faction, The Final Testament, Kofi Kingston was sidelined with an injury on RAW several weeks ago, leaving Xavier Woods to face the faction alone.
On the August 5 episode of Monday Night RAW, Kofi Kingston made a dramatic return to join Xavier Woods in a match against The Final Testament’s Akam and Rezar. The match was highly competitive, but a distraction from Karrion Kross allowed Rezar to pin Woods for the win, while Kofi was incapacitated outside the ring.
With The New Day outnumbered, Odyssey Jones, who had been drafted to RAW the previous year, made his long-awaited debut. He decisively took down The Final Testament and even did a slam while holding both members of AOP together. He would then align himself with Kofi and Xavier and add his formidable presence to their side.
X-Pac took to Twitter and commented on Odyssey Jones’ insane debut and pointed out how Jones set an 800-pound trap bar deadlift record. He then claimed that Jones was simply told to stop at 800 pounds, making it clear that Jones could have lifted more.
”He could’ve kept going, but I was told they made him stop at 800 lbs. #WWERaw”
We will have to wait and see how Odyssey Jones will be booked on WWE television in the coming weeks, as his debut has made fans aware of just how incredibly strong he truly is.
