WWE’s NXT brand and TNA Wrestling have witnessed a few stars crossing over through their own respective Forbidden Door. Now, there is speculation about a former TNA World Champion joining, and this individual may significantly shake things up if they’re paired with the current NXT Champion for a storyline.

So far, we’ve seen Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian, The Rascalz, Ash By Elegance, Tatum Paxley, and others featured in the crossover efforts between TNA and WWE. According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, there’s more to come.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander has been discussed as appearing as part of the crossover. Some backstage even suggested that he could be involved in tonight’s NXT.

This move could be significant for current NXT Champion Ethan Page. After all, he and Alexander were partners in The North while in TNA Wrestling. They formed quite a tag team, one that had to end when Page went to AEW.

Josh Alexander and Ethan Page have a rich history together, but Alexander may fit well into several roles in NXT’s creative vision. We will have to see how things unfold, but the NXT and TNA Wrestling partnership is far from over.
