UFC Star Belal Muhammad Reacts to CM Punk’s Shoutout on 8/5 WWE RAW

WWE and UFC are under the same TKO banner, which is why stars from both companies keep tabs on each other from time to time. In fact, UFC star Belal Muhammad has reacted to CM Punk’s shoutout on RAW this week.

On the August 5 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk addressed the aftermath of his recent match against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam, where the Second City Saint ultimately lost.

CM Punk congratulated his former UFC training teammate Belal Muhammad on winning the UFC welterweight title with an impressive performance against Leon Edwards at UFC 304. Muhammad expressed his gratitude on Twitter, sending love to Punk for his supportive words.

Belal Muhammad is a member of the Roufusport MMA team, led by coach Duke Roufus. This gym has produced several UFC champions, including Anthony Pettis and Tyron Woodley. Both CM Punk and Muhammad share a connection beyond their Chicago roots, having trained together in the past.

CM Punk had a brief stint in the UFC and trained primarily under Duke Roufus at his Milwaukee gym. This is the same gym where Muhammad trained as he advanced through the UFC welterweight division. Regardless, Muhammad appreciated the shoutout and that’s all that matters to him.
