Shawn Michaels Confirms NXT’s First Two CW Network Shows Will Be on the Road

WWE is experiencing considerable growth and change, highlighted by NXT’s upcoming transition to the CW Network later this year. Ahead of this move, Shawn Michaels has confirmed that NXT will be on the road for its debut episode on the new network.

NXT has been televised on the USA Network for a long time, but that will end in October this year, as the show will be airing regularly on the CW Network going forward. It was also reported that the show will remain on Tuesdays after moving to the CW Network.

Shawn Michaels took to Twitter and that WWE NXT will be hitting the road in celebration of its debut on the CW Network. The launch event will take place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, on October 1st.

Following this, NXT will also be in St. Louis on October 8th. Michaels emphasized that NXT has been performing exceptionally well over the past year and teased that the collaboration with CW will bring a new and exciting chapter for the brand.

“NXT is now going on the road. The launch of CW happens in Chicago, Illinois. Allstate Arena, October 1st. What’s better than one week on the road with NXT? Two weeks on the road. October 8TH, St. Louis, get ready because we’re coming your way. That’s right. Two weeks in a row, NXT. The CW launch, we’re coming your way. Everybody, get ready. NXT has been on fire the last year. NXT, CW, going to be a whole different animal.”

WWE has already released the first promotional video for NXT and even changed up the logo in anticipation for the CW Network move.  WWE is also pulling in substantially more money with their CW deal and fans can expect to see a lot of big changes on the show, so we’ll have to see whether NXT will see major improvements in October.
