Footage Captures CM Punk Hunting for Drew McIntyre Backstage After 8/5 WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre has been on a dominant winning streak for months, and his feud with CM Punk has escalated with heated verbal exchanges and physical confrontations. McIntyre defeated Punk at SummerSlam, but Punk retaliated by chasing him off on Raw this week. Footage has now shown Punk searching for McIntyre backstage, intensifying their ongoing rivalry.

On the August 5 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk addressed the aftermath of his recent match. Despite his loss at SummerSlam, Punk expressed his happiness at being back in Baltimore after ten years, with the fans chanting his name. He revealed that he was initially told he would be out for nine months due to a triceps injury but made a comeback in just five.

Punk then shifted his focus to Drew McIntyre, criticizing him and expressing a desire for a rematch. This prompted Seth Rollins, visibly frustrated with Punk’s behavior, to enter the ring, not for a conversation but for a confrontation. However, Drew McIntyre interrupted, coming from the audience to celebrate his SummerSlam victory.

McIntyre praised Punk’s performance but declared himself as the true “Best in the World.” While Punk and Rollins were preoccupied with each other, McIntyre drew Punk’s attention by mentioning Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, and referencing a bracelet he still had. This provoked Punk to chase McIntyre backstage, while Bronson Reed entered the ring to attack Seth Rollins.

WWE took to their official Instagram account and uploaded a video of CM Punk backstage asking security for Drew McIntyre’s whereabouts after their segment. Punk made it clear he was not going to stop pursuing The Scottish Warrior no matter what.
