Ever since Ethan Page came to WWE NXT a few months ago, he had become a prime target of Meta-Four’s Oro Mensah. This came after Page took out his faction’s cohort, Noam Dar, leading to Mensah being in constant pursuit of “All Ego” since then.

This led to multiple attacks landing on Ethan Page inside and outside the ring, and he even scored multiple mock pinfalls by Oro Mensah on Page in his bid to embarrass Page. The duo met on Week 1 of NXT Great American Bash to sign the contract for their NXT title match made official for Week 2 of the show, held by Ethan Page.

Ethan Page and Oro Mensah brought a lot of intensity, personal issues and incredible in-ring skills as they collided in a top-tier match for Week Two of NXT Great American Bash with NXT’s top title hanging in the balance.

The action was highly enthralling and had the NXT Universe glued to their seats with multiple moves and blows traded back and forth between the duo spilling all over ringside.

But despite Oro Mensah’s best efforts and having Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson by his side, he fell short of securing the pinfall when it counted as Ethan Page planted him to the mat with an Ego Edge and covered him to retain his title.
