Bryan Danielson is a major figure in professional wrestling today thanks to all of his contributions to the business. After leaving WWE to join AEW in 2021, he has now clarified his stance on the possibility of returning to WWE.

The American Dragon spent many years with WWE, where he was a top star. Toward the end of his time there, Bryan Danielson was also involved with WWE Creative, earning the respect of many within the company.

While speaking on Gorilla Position, Bryan Danielson was asked about possibly returning to WWE again somewhere down the line. The American Dragon mentioned that while he would not rule it out completely, it would only be if he felt it would benefit the industry.

Danielson suggested that if, in ten years, WWE’s creative process deteriorated significantly and AEW became dominant, he might consider a return. However, he currently enjoys his position and values his freedom, as he is not under contract. Danielson also expressed no interest in Hall of Fame rings or other accolades as a reason for his WWE return.

“I would never say never, but it would have to be in a situation where I felt going back would benefit the industry. For example, if in 10 years something drastically changed with their creative process and AEW had completely taken over, making it a one-sided business, then I might consider it. But I love where I am now. I’m also not under contract, so realistically, I just want to be free. As for a Hall of Fame ring or other accolades, I have no interest in those. None whatsoever.”

Bryan Danielson also revealed if he regrets leaving WWE for AEW. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether The American Dragon will ever return to his former company, as anything could happen in the world of professional wrestling.
