AEW star Britt Baker, who made a surprise return to AEW television at Forbidden Door after a year-long hiatus, had been suspended following a backstage confrontation with fellow wrestler MJF. During her absence, Baker’s status for the August 7th edition of Dynamite has been revealed.

The conflict started after Britt Baker made comments about MJF and his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, on the July 17th episode of Dynamite. MJF heard about these comments from Atout, which led to a heated argument. Even Will Ospreay tried to help by talking to Baker.

Things escalated when MJF, upset by the situation, punched a wall backstage, showing how tense things were in AEW. Despite this, Britt Baker stayed on TV, but she was briefly suspended after an HR investigation. The investigation also looked into claims that Baker had verbally attacked Atout and demanded her removal from the women’s locker room.

PWInsider reports that the suspension was mentioned on AEW Dynamite last week to add more heat to Mercedes Mone’s storyline leading up to All In: London. It was further noted that Baker is expected to return to television tomorrow.

With AEW All In set to take place on August 25th, it makes sense Britt Baker will be returning to AEW Dynamite this week to further build her storyline with Mercedes Mone heading into the pay-per-view, so we will have to wait and see how AEW will continue to book their feud in the coming weeks.
