WWE’s Internal Stance Of Becky Lynch’s Possible Retirement

Becky Lynch’s WWE contract ran out, and she was able to have one more match with Liv Morgan on her way out. That cage match on May 27 may be her last in the ring, as rumors swirl that The Man may be retired.

Becky Lynch has everyone buzzing over an Instagram post that many assume is about retirement. She is really enjoying her life at home as a mother, and it doesn’t seem that she is planning a return, judging by her recent documentary special.

Sean Ross Sapp noted on his Backstage Q&A Show that he reached out to sources close to the situation and WWE. WWE sources said that if she was retired in an official capacity, they hadn’t been informed of it yet and didn’t believe that if she did retire, it would be via Instagram. However, one WWE source noted that she’s not under a WWE deal to their knowledge and could retire without notifying them if she so chose.

WWE sources have repeatedly stated that Becky is enjoying her time off, and they want to be respectful of her space after what she’s given them over the years. It was also reiterated that she would always be welcome back into WWE. When her contract expired, she was planning on simply taking time off, and WWE and Lynch both believed that if and when the time was right, she’d be back in the fold.

We will keep our eyes peeled for more updates regarding Becky Lynch. She could very well return at any moment, but the way she spoke about her days in WWE and her time as The Man really stuck out to many who think she may just decide to live a life at home now.
