WWE is gearing up for an action-packed live episode of Raw on August 5th from the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. It will be the first episode after SummerSlam and fans are excited for what’s in store.
At SummerSlam, Gunther defeated Damian Priest to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time. In a post-show interview, Gunther announced that he would bring the World Heavyweight Championship to Raw this week.
Last week on Raw, Damage CTRL made a dramatic return, attacking Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark following their victory over Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter. After the attack, Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai challenged Sonya Deville to a singles match scheduled for this week.
The Wyatt Sicks revealed their unmasked identities last week on Raw and attacked Chad Gable and the Creed Brothers. Following the assault, Gable and the Creeds met with Adam Pearce and confirmed a Six-Man Tag Team match against the Wyatts.
After his loss to Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam, CM Punk is slated to appear live on Raw. Speculation suggests that Punk will address his defeat, and he may be confronted by Seth Rollins, who served as the referee for their SummerSlam match. Punk, who lost his bracelet to McIntyre at SummerSlam, may be seeking a rematch or further confrontation with McIntyre.
Sheamus will face Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. Additionally, Kofi Kingston is set to make his return on Raw, teaming with Xavier Woods of The New Day to take on Akam and Rezar of the Authors of Pain in a tag team match.
At SummerSlam, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller confronted The Miz and R-Truth, leading to a clash in Miz’s hometown. Miz and Truth, along with Jelly Roll, attacked Theory and Waller, delivering a five-knuckle shuffle. This has set up a tag team match for this week.
