Roman Reigns and Damian Priest’s Internal Status After WWE SummerSlam

Roman Reigns was not seen on WWE television since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, but that changed after the end of SummerSlam where he made his shocking return. On the other hand, Damian Priest also had a World Title match that saw him lose after a massive betrayal and now the internal status of both WWE Superstars has been revealed.

At the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, GUNTHER faced Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in highly anticipated match. Finn Balor made his presence felt in the match and ultimately cost Priest the match, as GUNTHER became the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

To close out the show, Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam and decimated Solo Sikoa, thus enabling Cody Rhodes to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship in decisive fashion.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Roman Reigns and Damian Priest are now listed internally by WWE as baby faces for Friday Night SmackDown and Damian Priest, following the events of SummerSlam.

It remains to be seen how WWE will book Roman Reigns and Damian Priest as babyfaces moving forward, as the shift in dynamics has significantly changed the landscape and left fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.
