Roman Reigns Advertised for 8/9 WWE SmackDown After SummerSlam Return

During Roman Reigns’ absence, Solo Sikoa assumed leadership of The Bloodline, but Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam and laid waste to Sikoa. In fact, it appears Reigns is now scheduled to make an appearance for the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

WWE’s 2024 SummerSlam event ended with a Bloodline Rules match for the Undisputed WWE Title. Cody Rhodes would ultimately defeat Solo Sikoa, thanks in part to the intervention of the Original Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam and unsurprisingly, he set his sights on Solo Sikoa at the show. Rather than going against Cody Rhodes, Reigns ended up hitting a Superman punch as well as a vicious spear on Solo Sikoa before leaving to the back, thus helping Rhodes retain his championship.

On WWE’s official website, Roman Reigns is listed among the stars set to appear at the WWE SmackDown taping on August 9th at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This follows Reigns’ return to WWE at SummerSlam on August 3rd. Also advertised for the August 9th episode are Cody Rhodes, Nia Jax, Bayley, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair.

Solo Sikoa is also dreading the consequences of Roman Reigns’ return. Roman Reigns is currently more focused on what he will do to Solo Sikoa, so we’ll have to wait until Friday Night SmackDown to hear from The Head of the Table.
