WWE brought SummerSlam to fans this weekend, followed by a big RAW to showcase the aftermath. This also included a few returns, with Ludwig Kaiser more than ready for the challenge ahead of him.

Imperium member Ludwig Kaiser was optimistic about being part of WWE Bash In Berlin, despite recuperating from an injury. Kaiser had been sidelined with a broken rib, which he sustained in a match against Bron Breakker. That time away from the ring ended during the August 5 episode of WWE RAW.

Ludwig Kaiser actually opened up WWE RAW this week with a brief promo, introducing GUNTHER as the new World Heavyweight Champion. A stern promo followed, which Randy Orton interrupted to insert himself into a match at Bash in Berlin for the Ring General’s title.

Kaiser stuck around to take on Sheamus in the first match of the night. The two started off with an even contest, and then Kaiser faked an injury on the outside of the ring. When Sheamus walked up to him, Kaiser nailed a suckerpunch to gain control. Kaiser was relentless, as he continued his assault on Sheamus to slow the match down.

Kaiser put up quite a fight, as he kicked out of a White Noise from Sheamus during the first commercial-free hour of RAW this week. Then Sheamus locked in a cloverleaf as Ludwig made his way to the ropes. Then Sheamus kicked out after Kaiser nailed a discus clothesline.

Near the end of the match, Pete Dunne showed up, but Sheamus was able to avoid the attack. This distraction allowed Ludwig Kaiser to take control of the match, as he amped himself up, but he still ate a knee and a Brogue Kick for the loss.

We will have to see what happens with Ludwig Kaiser from this point on. The red brand certainly missed him, and now the Ring General’s right-hand man is back by his side.
