Many TNA stars have been making waves recently, with Joe Hendry standing out in a big way. His appearances on NXT television have notably enhanced his reputation. In fact, he admitted that his parody songs upset some wrestlers.

The TNA star is known for his musical performances before matches, where he often pokes fun at his opponents. His routines, such as referring to Scotty 2 Hotty’s worm as a “Sh*te People’s Elbow” or claiming to have taken Elias’s job, have become a hit with fans and frequently go viral on social media. However, not all wrestlers have appreciated these antics.

While speaking in an interview with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes Magazine, Hendry revealed that three wrestlers were unhappy with the musical mockery. While he did not name them, he described the situations. In one instance, a wrestler became physically aggressive during a match, which Hendry managed to handle.

Another wrestler left the venue for three hours before returning to finish the day’s work. The third situation involved a wrestler being upset because they were not briefed about the entrance beforehand. Hendry admitted that while the wrestler had a point, he believed the fan reaction would ultimately be beneficial for business, even if it was not immediately understood. Hendry’s approach often involved seeking forgiveness rather than permission for his entrances.

“Three people that I can think of have got upset. I won’t tell you which ones are which, but I’ll tell you what happened. One time, someone started in the middle of the match legitimately just stamping on me and I had to control the situation as best I could. I’m proud of how I handled it. There’s another time where someone may have stormed out the building for three hours before they came back and had to complete the day’s work.

And there was a third time where I did not brief the person on the entrance and they were upset about it. In that case, they were probably right, but I just knew how the fans were going to react. I knew it was going to be great for business and I knew I wouldn’t be able to convince them of that in the moment and that they would only understand in retrospect. With the entrances in many cases was ask forgiveness not permission.”

Joe Coffey is set to square off against Joe Hendry in a singles match during NXT Great American Bash Week 2, so we’ll have to wait and see if Hendry will be able to get some measure of revenge this week.
