Giulia’s surprise debut at NXT Stand & Deliver was a significant milestone in her wrestling career. After being sidelined with a wrist injury, she has recently made her return to the ring. As she gears up to join WWE later this year, she has revealed that she previously turned down offers from the company.
At the latest Marigold event held at Korakuen Hall, Giulia made a significant announcement regarding her wrestling career. She revealed that August 19th will mark her final match in Japan. After much consideration, Giulia has decided to pursue new opportunities in professional wrestling.
Giulia also noted that her upcoming five matches in Japan will be her last, setting a countdown to her exit from the Japanese wrestling scene. Following this, fans can look forward to her full-time transition to NXT.
While speaking to Shueisha, Giulia was asked about her upcoming venture into WWE and pointed out how she was going there with a sense of mission to change women’s professional wrestling. Giulia revealed that she had turned down offers from WWE in the past.
”Of course, I’m looking forward to facing new enemies and beating them. On top of that, when I come back, I want to make the world a better place! So I can’t go home unless I achieve results.
Actually, I had been approached for a few years, but I kept turning it down. Then my thinking changed, and I thought now was the best timing. This is my final adventure.”
We have also reported that Giulia is also expected to make alterations to her in-ring style once she makes her WWE transition. Given that NXT No Mercy is scheduled for September 1st, it’s highly likely that Giulia will make an appearance at the Premium Live Event, so we’ll have to see how her in-ring debut will turn out.
