WWE SummerSlam showcased a series of notable bouts, but the Women’s World Championship clash between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley was particularly compelling. Ripley’s world had recently been upended by Dominik Mysterio’s unexpected betrayal, and now Mysterio has compared himself to a Star Wars character.

In the heat of their match, Liv Morgan introduced a chair into the ring, only for Rhea Ripley to swiftly kick it away. As Ripley attempted to wield the chair herself, Dominik Mysterio intervened to prevent a disqualification. Morgan then executed an Oblivion move on Ripley, but Ripley managed to kick out.

With the referee distracted by Dominik, Morgan seized the opportunity to use the chair for another Oblivion, securing her victory. In a shocking twist, Dominik Mysterio then kissed Liv Morgan, signaling his betrayal of Ripley. The pair exited the arena together, leaving Ripley stunned and heartbroken in the ring.

Dominik Mysterio took to Twitter and reacted to a photo of how things started between Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley to how it ended. He responded to the post with a GIF of the iconic Star Wars character Anaki Skywalker, who turned to the dark side, who turned his back on becoming a Jedi and became a Sith instead.
