Xavier Woods of The New Day has become a key target for the menacing faction, The Final Testament, who have been trying to sway Woods away from the power of positivity and recruit him into their ranks.

Karrion Kross and his faction intensified their efforts by taking out Woods’ New Day partner, Kofi Kingston, who sustained an injury weeks ago on RAW. This left Woods to fend off The Final Testament on his own. However, on the August 7 edition of Monday Night RAW, Kofi Kingston returned to join Woods in battling The Final Testament’s Akam and Rezar.

The match was fiercely contested, but a distraction from Karrion Kross allowed Rezar to pin Woods for the victory while Kingston was incapacitated outside the ring. Just as The New Day found themselves outnumbered, Odyssey Jones, who was drafted to RAW last year, made his impactful debut.

Jones single-handedly dismantled The Final Testament, aligning himself with Kofi and Xavier in a powerful show of force and celebrating his debut with them and The Alpha Academy backstage. This led former New Day member Big E to take to his X to praise Jones and claim that he made a lot of new fans upon his impactful debut.
