Absent WWE Star Scheduled for 8/9 SmackDown

AJ Styles is widely regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers by both fans and peers. Known for his high-level performances, Styles has continued to impress despite his age. Although he hasn’t been seen on WWE television for a while, he is set to make his return to SmackDown this week.

Pro Wrestling NOAH and WWE announced that AJ Styles would face off against Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH Destination 2024 on July 13 at Budokan Hall and fans expected a great match and that’s what they got as he faced Marufuji in a great outing and picked up the win with thunderous Styles Clash.

AJ Style was last seen on WWE television at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. Afterwards, he competed at the aforementioned NOAH Destination and then during the WWE live events in Japan.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, AJ Styles is set to make his return during the August 9th edition of Friday Night SmackDown. It is unclear what role he will play on the show.

We have already reported that Roman Reigns is advertised for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Regardless, we’ll have to see if AJ Styles will have a big role on the show this Friday.
