Logan Paul lost the United States Title to LA Knight at this year’s SummerSlam, just days after Paul became embroiled in an online controversy. While the timeline of that decision making process regarding a title change has not been released, talk of The Maverick losing his belt to LA Knight certainly picked up after his comments.
In case you need a refresher, during the 2024 Olympic Games, Algeria’s Imane Khelif won a quick victory over Italy’s Angela Carini, who quit the match after just 46 seconds. Footage of Carini crying after the bout went viral, sparking controversy over Khelif’s eligibility due to her gender. Khelif’s participation in the Paris Olympics has been contentious, especially after her disqualification from the 2023 World Championships over an unspecified gender eligibility test.
Logan Paul spoke out against the boxing match controversy, describing it as the “purest form of evil” that the world saw at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. He boldly stated this on Twitter, and also later doubled down on his comment.
“This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before your eyes. A biological man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father. This delusion must end.”
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that word that Knight could win picked up internally after Logan Paul’s controversial comments this week. It was not noted whether the US Title match result was changed due to The Maverick’s comments.

LA Knight is now the WWE United States Champion, and he’s already having a lot of fun as champion. Logan Paul lost in Cleveland, his home city, even though he was booed out of the building as a heel. We will have to see what’s next for Logan Paul in WWE, but it’s also important to remember that Prime Hydration has a massive sponsorship deal with the company.
