WWE has several stars sidelined with injuries, and now two are set to return on the August 5 episode of Monday Night Raw, following several weeks off television. This comes at a great time, as the aftermath of SummerSlam will give them a chance to re-enter the creative picture as WWE resets after the eventful night in Cleveland Browns Stadium. RAW will also be on Syfy for the second week.

After an eventful WWE SummerSlam, WWE Raw heads to Baltimore, MD. The fans inside the CFG Bank Arena will see appearances from CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and new World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, as well as the in-ring returns of Ludwig Kaiser and Kofi Kingston.

Kaiser has been off television since June 24 after suffering broken ribs during his match with Bron Breakker and will face Sheamus on the August 5 edition of Raw. Unlike Kaiser, Kingston’s absence has been due to storyline reasons, with Karrion Kross injuring the former WWE Champion’s shoulder on the same June 24 edition of RAW. Kingston made his in-ring return during WWE’s tour of Japan between July 25 to 27, but the company announced that The New Day member had aggravated the injury.

Kingston and his New Day partner Xavier Woods will face AOP on RAW, continuing their ongoing rivalry. Also announced for Raw is a rare cross-brand tag team match as The Awesome Truth face A-Town Down Under, following their interaction at SummerSlam along with singer Jelly Roll.

We will have to see what happens with Kofi Kingston and Ludwig Kaiser. This could be a crucial time for Kaiser to return because GUNTHER just became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam. Kingston is missed by his partner, Xavier Woods, as the Final Testament has given him a tough time recently.

What’s your take on these WWE returns? Do you think that Kaiser and Kingston will shake things up once they return? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
