WWE SummerSlam showcased several high-profile matches, but the Women’s World Championship bout between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley was particularly captivating. Dominik Mysterio played a crucial role and the match ended with Mysterio betraying Ripley. Liv Morgan has now shared her first comments on the events from SummerSlam.
The Women’s World Championship match at SummerSlam kicked off with Liv Morgan dodging Rhea Ripley’s advances. Taking advantage of the situation, Morgan targeted Ripley’s shoulder by slamming her into the turnbuckle. Despite the injury, Ripley continued fighting, even using the announce table to reset her shoulder.
As the match progressed, Morgan brought a chair into the ring, but Ripley managed to kick it away. When Ripley tried to use the chair herself, Dominik Mysterio intervened to avoid a disqualification. Morgan then executed an Oblivion, but Ripley managed to kick out.
With the referee’s attention diverted by Dominik, Morgan used the chair to deliver a second Oblivion, clinching the win. In a shocking twist, Dominik Mysterio kissed Liv Morgan, revealing his betrayal of Ripley. Dominik and Morgan left together, leaving Ripley devastated in the ring.
Liv Morgan took to Twitter and commented on what transpired at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, as she uploaded a few photos of herself alongside Dominik Mysterio and stated that everything Rhea Ripley loves now belongs to her.

Even Rey Mysterio believes Rhea Ripley should have seen Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal coming. We’ll need to see how WWE handles Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley’s relationship moving forward, as their dynamic has significantly shifted.
