Brock Lesnar is viewed as the Alpha male of our species and it’s not hard to see why, but he has landed himself in trouble quite a few times over the years. In fact, Jim Cornette once threatened to shoot Lesnar for misbehaving with Cornette’s wife.

The Beast Incarnate made his debut in Ohio Valley Wrestling back in 2000 and honed his craft for a couple of years before debuting on the main roster in 2002. Before his main roster debut, Lesnar would show off his rebellious side by getting tattoos without permission.

While speaking in an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Kenny Bolin recalled an incident from Ohio Valley Wrestling involving Brock Lesnar. Bolin described how Lesnar was fired from the promotion for inappropriate behavior with Jim Cornette’s wife. Cornette, who was running OVW at the time, threatened to shoot Brock Lesnar and drove him out of the territory.

Despite this, WWE quickly hired Lesnar and made him the world champion within a few months, which surprised both Cornette and Bolin. Bolin noted the irony in WWE’s decision, as Cornette’s reaction had been one of disbelief that Lesnar could transition from such a scandal to becoming a top champion.

“I remember when Brock was with us at Ohio Valley Wrestling, he got fired for doing something that he shouldn’t have done with Cornette’s wife. Cornette threatened to shoot him in the parking lot and Brock went away. We thought that Brock was done. We didn’t think he could do that with a female on a live television show and get by with it. And then we see, 30-60 days or 90 days later, he’s the world champion. Jim said, ‘Well, they showed him. You can’t do that stuff, here’s the world title. What else would you like to do?’ Unbelievable.”

As for Brock Lesnar’s current situation, he remains absent from WWE television since SummerSlam 2023 due to legal complications stemming from Vince McMahon’s trafficking lawsuit. Regardless, such allegations about Brock Lesnar might not surprise fans but it will also be a long time until he returns to WWE, if ever.
