Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport featuring Shayna Baszler marked significant crossover between WWE and the independent wrestling scene. That’s why it was no surprise even more WWE stars competed at Bloodsport XI. With that said, GUNTHER has made it clear he has no interest in returning to Bloodsport.
Recently, WWE has permitted competitors such as Shayna Baszler, Charlie Dempsey, and The Creed Brothers to participate in GCW Bloodsport events. Fans have expressed interest in seeing performers like Chad Gable and Gunther join the roster for these shows.
While speaking in an interview with Fightful, GUNTHER was asked whether he has any interest in returning to the world of Bloodsport. GUNTHER made it clear he is not interested in competing at a Bloodsport event.
The Ring General mentioned that while he enjoyed similar styles in the past, such as those seen in the Ambition tournament in wXW and promotions like uWFI and BattleArts, he feels that phase of his career is behind him.
”I did it before. wXw always had the Ambition tournament. I love that style. I watched uWFI a lot and BattleArts. That’s behind me now.”
GUNTHER has more important things to attend to, as he became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event. Therefore, his time with the concept of Bloodsport is clearly behind him and the WWE World Title is what matters now.
