Tommaso Ciampa has been making headlines after constantly trying to hit the RKO on Randy Orton and failing every time and now he has revealed where the idea to do such stunts came from.
Determined to make an impact, Ciampa set out to execute the RKO, with his partner Johnny Gargano recording the attempt. However, Orton easily avoided the move, causing Ciampa to awkwardly fall to the mat.
Not giving up, the former NXT Champion tried another RKO on Orton but misjudged his move and crashed onto table instead, leading to his frustration. Unfazed, Ciampa then tried again in disguise but ended up crashing onto a storage container. His fourth attempt beside pool also failed to go as planned, and he even struggled with fifth try.
Ciampa then tried to hit the RKO on Kevin Owens and paid dearly for it. Ciampa would then succeed in hitting an RKO on an unsuspecting talent at the WWE Performance Center recently.
While speaking to PWMania, Tommaso Ciampa was asked where the idea spawned to try to one-up Randy Orton. Tommaso Ciampa explained his motivation for trying to RKO Randy Orton in his social media videos. He expressed a long-standing dislike for Orton, claiming that his disdain for him began even before he knew who Orton was.
Ciampa mentioned that Orton’s presence bores him, and he dislikes many aspects of Orton, including his tattoos and his physical appearance. Ciampa also noted his frustration with Orton’s success and his muscular build, leading him to express a desire to confront him.
“Because I hate him. I’ve hated Randy since the day I was born, before I even knew who he was. I’ve always hated Randy Orton. He bores me to tears when I watch him up there. I hate you. I hate your tattoos. I hate everything about you. I hate your existence. I hate that you have big muscles now. I hate it all. He’s got big muscles. I’m going to get him.”
It remains to be seen whether he will finally hit Randy Orton with one in the future, as Tommaso Ciampa is more determined than ever to fulfil his destiny to hit an RKO on the Apex Predator.
