Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Grayson Waller and Austin Theory to claim the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship on the July 5th SmackDown, but they dropped the titles to The Bloodline on SmackDown this week and now Ciampa has broken his silence on the matter.
On the August 2nd episode of SmackDown, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, the reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions, returned to their hometown of Cleveland. Their championship match against the Bloodline, featuring Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, was a highly anticipated event. Although Gargano received a warm welcome from his local fans, the night ended in disappointment for him and Ciampa.
The Bloodline claimed victory, seizing the WWE Tag Team Championships. Post-match, Solo Sikoa proudly displayed the titles for the cameras, marking a significant momentum shift as the Bloodline gears up for SummerSlam.
Tommaso Ciampa took to his Instagram following his shocking tag team title loss as he uploaded a photo of the WWE Tag Team Championships, pointing out that he and Gargano were champions for only 29 days.
”29 Days 🖤”
We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, as it is quite clear that they will not be able to reclaim the titles from The Bloodline anytime soon.
