Bayley won the WWE Women’s Title from IYO Sky at WrestleMania 40, and she has had a lot of fun as champion, but Nia Jax was waiting for her at SummerSlam. The two had their match on August 3 in Cleveland Browns Stadium, and fans were interested to see how this one would turn out.

Nia Jax walked into the match against Bayley as the betting odds favorite. Following the August 2 episode of SmackDown, where Jax gave Tiffany Stratton a new Money in the Bank briefcase, it seemed that the Irresistible Force had even more momentum on her side.

The Queen of the Ring tournament saw Nia Jax walk away as the winner, and that also included a title match at SummerSlam. When the time finally came for Bayley to defend her championship against Jax, fans in Cleveland were more than ready for it to go down.

Nia Jax had the size advantage for this match, but Bayley was able to create some separation with a suplex and a couple of knockdowns. Then Nia Jax took control of the match in a big way as Bayley sold on the mat. Bayley was able to keep the match going as Jax was sent to the floor, but then Jax caught Bayley off a dive and drove her into the thin mat at ringside.

Bayley was able to send Nia Jax to the mat, and then Tiffany Stratton made her way to the ring. Then Bayley knocked her off the apron. She rolled Jax up for a pin, but Nia kicked out. Then Nia Jax nailed two powerbombs on Bayley before she dragged her to the corner and hit two Annihilator moves for the win.

After the match was over, Nia Jax celebrated her big win with the WWE Women’s Championship with Tiffany Stratton. Cleveland was not happy about how things turned out, but Bayley is no longer champion.
