The announcement that Monday Night RAW will be moving to Netflix has created tons of discussions in the pro wrestling world as a lot of changes could take place on the streaming giant. In fact, Braun Strowman is looking forward to being able to swear after RAW moves to Netflix.
It was reported that WWE and Netflix confirmed their huge deal to move Monday Night RAW to the streaming service, which will begin in January 2025. The reported deal, valued at over $5 billion for a duration of ten years, shocked fans all over the world.
Earlier this year, Triple H confirmed that WWE will be uncensored on Netflix. Whether that means WWE Superstars can swear like a sailor every single time on television was not disclosed.
While speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Braun Strowman mentioned that the wrestlers are eagerly anticipating Raw’s move to Netflix and joke about the possibility of being able to use explicit language without consequences. He noted that there has been a playful competition among them to see who would be the first to say an F-bomb on TV without facing fines.
“I can’t wait until we go to Netflix so we can say whatever the f**k we want to. Literally, that’s what we joke about, who gets to say the first F-bomb on TV, without getting fined for it.”
On the other hand, CM Punk doesn’t want RAW’s move to Netflix to be a crutch to drop F-bombs. Triple H is also confident that fans will make the transition to Netflix without any concerns. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how the WWE product will grow once they shift to Netflix in January next year.
